MITx: 11.132x Design and Development of Educational Technology
LEARNING CHALLENGE
The idea of a web lab about healthcare, e-Learning and innovation came to me as soon as i understood that what is often missing in healthcare degree and post-degree education is an approach focusing on the collaboration among students and within a heterogeneous, seamless, ubiquous virtual community.
Such a online social & learning environment is based on a model that is probably one of the few able to represent the changing, wirearchical, scattered workscape of healthcare networks surrounding patients and communities.
It is a challenging project to develop such a virtual environment enlisting some communities of students and tutors on the moodle website for the Masters of the University of Parma, in Italy, some social network groups and resources and PUNTOZERO github pages and such shared environment meant for collective software development.
The goal of such a innovative and hybrid learning infrastructure online is to deliver experiences and practices for students, tutors, experts, patients and whoever interested in about collaboration and community learning.
